Hi everyone. As a child I used to dream of finding treasures with my metal detector. My only real find were numerous coins ranging from 10p to £1. I found approximately £2! At the age of 10 this was amazing.

Now I am a little older, I have decided to start up my hobby of metal detecting again. My interest is history so I am hopeful of finding some interesting items.

After the hectic Christmas period, I decided to go out with my husband and dog Bo along the River Ribble, close to Ribchester, Preston, Lancashire.

I call this my “taster session”! Unfortunately nothing was found apart from a fishing weight and some foil and ring pulls!

My plan is to travel around with my detector and spend hours sweeping the land in the hope of some fascinating discoveries and would like to share my journey with you.
